Help Needed!!! Again this year, Prospect Street UMC is in charge of the “Live Nativity” during the “Christmas By Candlelight” light display at the Marion County Fairgrounds.  Prospect Street manages the Live Nativity display on Saturday & Sunday nights in December (December 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, and 17.)  We will actually be portraying the nativity characters on Saturday, December 2nd, and possible another night during these December times.  We will need help with: Dressing participants each night Saturday & Sundays in December (5:15 – 9:30 p.m.)  Putting up sets at the fairgrounds see Wally or Howard to volunteer and to find out the work days and times. The first work day is Saturday, November 18th, at 9 a.m. Bring your hammers and join in the pounding!  Sign up to portray a Nativity character for December 2nd and maybe another night.  Sign-up sheets can be found on the bulletin board in second floor hallway. For more information, call Karen Seckel 740-389-4163.

Mitten Tree ~ It’s time to start collecting mittens, gloves, socks, and scarves to place on the Christmas tree in the back of the sanctuary thru December 1st.  This year, the items will be taken to Leapin’ Outreach in December and given to those who are in need.  It may not be cold while you are reading this, but as we all know, winter comes and many children do not have mittens, gloves, socks, and scarves to keep them warm. Thanks for your generosity!
