Community Breakfast ~ Saturday, June 22nd, from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m.  This community outreach is sponsored by the Men’s Prayer Breakfast group and the UMW’s SKI group.  This breakfast is free and open to all (donations will be accepted).  This is a wonderful opportunity to get involved and support this effort to reach out into our community and build relationships with our neighbors and be fulfilled in sharing the love and grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Come one, ncome all to help, support or just have breakfast and fellowship. Hope to see you there.

A Change for 2019!!  Be Aware!!  Neighborhood Outreach (School Supplies/Backpack Ministry)  ~  Saturday, July 27th, from 1 – 4 p.m. here at the church.  This ministry has expanded into not just our neighborhood event but    a city of Marion Event.  There will be 3 locations involved, North at   Mt. Zion Baptist, Central at Prospect Street UMC, and South at the  St. Paul’s Lutheran near the Hospital.  Each location will be a signup place for parents with their children to get a voucher for school supplies/backpacks at their individual schools on the first day of school in the Fall.  We do not collect supplies or backpacks this year.  All we need to do to help make this a success is, as a church, financially give  to this project.  If you would like to help, please place cash or a check (made out to Prospect Street UMC) in an envelope marked “Neighborhood Outreach” and place in collection plate or send to the church office.  Then, what is collected will be sent in one check to the Marion Law Enforcement Trust which is handling the money and buying the backpacks and school supplies.  One backpack filled with all the supplies needed will cost around $25.00.  We need to make our payment by July 26th! Thank you, Karen Seckel
